Rear Crossmember with Long Extensions For Land Rover Defender
The rear crossmember is the most vulnerable structural component of the Land Rover Defender chassis. Our replacement crossmembers with long extensions provide a comprehensive solution for severe corrosion, allowing you to cut back further into the chassis rails to reach fresh, sound metal. This "long-arm" design ensures a much stronger structural joint than a standard short-extension replacement.

Available Variants:
- Defender 90 & 110 (Pre-TD5): Designed for the early 90 and 110 models (including 2.5NA, Turbo Diesel, 200TDi and 300TDi). These feature the correct classic profile and mounting points for early-style fuel tanks and body tabs.
- Defender 90 & 110 (TD5 / 2.4 & 2.2 Puma): Updated to accommodate the rear-mounted plastic fuel tanks and specific chassis rail profiles used from 1998 through to 2016. These include the necessary internal strengthening and bracketry for the later-style towing setups.
- Defender 90 (300TDi Special): A specific variant for the 300TDi era that includes integrated anti-roll bar brackets. This ensures that if your original mounts have rotted away with the crossmember, you can restore your suspension handling in one single installation.
Built for Maximum Durability Manufactured from high-strength structural steel, these crossmembers are built to withstand heavy-duty towing and off-road recovery. The long extensions wrap around the existing chassis rails, providing a generous welding surface area for a permanent, MOT-compliant repair.

Installation Note: This is a major structural repair. We recommend the use of chassis jigs or careful measurement to ensure the crossmember is welded square to the chassis. This is essential for the correct alignment of the rear body tub, door slam, and towing equipment.

If you're running additional lights off a switched off engine, then high-efficiency HID and LED lights will drain the battery slower than traditional filament or halogen lights.

LED lights very much meet that need, and for the same power consumption will produce greater luminosity and a whiter light. Recognising that, we have sourced high-quality LED and HID vehicle lights from around the world and will be bringing further ranges over the coming years.

The circular light you see below is a 4-inch LED work light producing 2,150 lumens at 27 watts with 9 Epistar LEDs. It can be fitted to a wide range of commercial and domestic vehicles.

- Delivery is from our Staffordshire UK depot.
- Delivery charges are an additional cost and are automatically calculated by weight and volume.

- Delivery is by courier and packages need to be sign for – and once goods are despatched typically take 1–3 days in the UK, and 2–6 extra days if delivery is outside the UK.

VAT and CUSTOM DUTY
If delivery is inside the European Union country then VAT will be charged. If outside the European union VAT will NOT be charged on the final page of the checkout.
You need to add your country, region and post code/zip code on the checkout for our system to decide if you are going to be charged VAT.
If delivery is outside the European Union, we supply customs forms and the receiver of the goods is liable for IMPORT DUTIES, if any; not all countries will charge this. It is payable to the courier company or customs office in the receiver's country. We have no way of knowing what the duty amount will be. You need to check with our country’s customs authority.
You need to pay the customs duties, if any, before you can receive your package. If you do not pay the duties, the package may be returned to us and you are not entitled to a refund.
